He is an established Slovenian actor, awarded for film and theatre roles. He graduated from acting at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television at the University of Ljubljana. Soon after his graduation he received his first professional acknowledgment as an actor by being trusted with the leading role of Moritz in Spring Awakening by Frank Wedekind. Since then he has created over forty theatre roles in different Slovenian theaters, among them many leading ones such as the role of Hamlet in William Shakespeare's Hamlet, Jörgen Tesman in Hedda Gabler, Macbeth in William Shakespeare's Macbeth, Max in Martin Sherman's Bent, and Jack in Jack, or the Submission by Eugene Ionesco to name a few. He has been honoured with several awards for his work in theatre and in films such as Vesna award (Slovenian equivalent for the Oscar Award), the Borstnik Award (Slovenian equivalent for the Tony Award), Tantadruj Award, the Dnevnik newspaper award, etc... He used to be a member of Ljubljana City Theatre ensemble and the Slovene National Theatre in Maribor, but now he works as a freelance artist who wishes to engage in new and bold projects that interest him and that really try to push his acting boundaries and offer him a chance to explore new and exciting areas. Since 2017 he has been the host of the Bob leta satirical awards ceremony broadcasted by the national television. Since 2020 he has been the host of the podcast Spilferderber on the Slovenian national radio station Val 202 where he hosts outstanding representatives of his generation. He is also one of the founders of the newly-established Screen Actors Guild of Slovenia.

The Viennese Nightingale: Though Miss Elfie Mayerhofer was always completely Viennese in spirit and culture, she was born in Marburg, Yugoslavia on March 15, 1917 and educated there as a child. She began her studies of music in Slovenia and then went for further studies in Zürich under Prof. Fred Husler and in Vienna. In 1935 at the Berlin High School of Music under Prof. Lula Mysz-Gmeiner she was a student along with Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Peter Anders, who later on married the daughter of Prof. Mysz-Gmeiner. Mayerhofer's first professional engangement was with the theater of youth in Münich and Berlin. She then worked with the State Opera og Münich. Her clear coloratura soprano voice was so unusual it earned her the nickname "The Viennese Nightingale". Her film debut came in 1938 in the German made western "Woman of Golden Hill" (Femmes pour Golden Hill). The following year she had a role next to Elfriede Datzig in the Austrian film "Hotel Sacher" where she sang a Yugoslavian gypsy folk song. After World War II Mayerhofer performed for Allied troops in Austria and Germany. For her film "Viennese Melodies" she was singled out for honor at the film festival in Locarno, Swotzerland. she returned to doing concerts and opera performances. Herbert von Karajan engaged her for the 1949 Salzburg Music Festival in Austria, where she did the role of Cherubino in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro" (in Italian language), alongside Maria Cebotari. In 1949 she opened in Paris, with the Operetta "La Reine des Valses", playing opposite the Belgium Tenor, Henri Legay. In France she recorded the songs; 1. "Stille Nacht" 2. "Mariä Wiegerlied" and others, for Decca-Records. She followed with other performed in non singing roles for the stage. Mayerhofer did two 10" LP's for London Records which were released in France, USA and Great Britain in 1949 and 1951 (But none in her home country), and a third 10" LP for Columbia Records in West Germany in the late 50's, entitled "The Flower of Hawaii" (Die Blume von Hawaii). Her last Austrian film was "Vanished Melodies" (Verlorene Melodien) with Peter Alexander and Evelyn Künneke. In 1974 she travelled overseas performing operas, operettas and concerts in USA, Canada and Mexico. she also made several television appearances in Austria and Germany around that time. During her film career, she made nineteen films in Europe, most of them with Viennese settings. Mayerhofer continued to give live performances in Austria almost up until her death on December 28, 1992 in Vienna.- Josip Marotti was born on 18 December 1922 in Maribor, Slovenia, Yugoslavia. Rene Maurin is a Slovene film and theatre director born in ex Yugoslavia. He attended education in United States, Austria, Croatia and Slovenia and could be described as swaying between film and theatre medium. After his graduation in theatre directing he filmed a series of documentary films for the Slovenian national Television, and won attention of the film critics with films such as "I saw Elvis!" and "Life As from Inside".
After this period he started to shift his attention to stage narrative. In the next decade he took over artistic leadership of City Theatre Ptuj in Slovenia and directed some performances which reaped wide acclaim and selected awards in Slovenia and abroad. Among the authors he has interpreted in his stagings we find from contemporary ones such as David Harrower and Paula Vogel up to P. A. C. Beaumarchais, J. P. Marijan Hinteregger was born in September 17, 1961 in Maribor - Slovenia. Marijan has Croatian (mother Ivanka) and Austrian (father Maximilian) roots;
10 years old Marijan faced his acting talent for the first time in a theater group at the primary school in Maribor. At the age of 14 he played his first role in famous Slovenian film "The Widowhood of Karolina Zasler" (1974), director Matjaz Klopcic.
After his movie debut, on request of his parents he finishes school for chef.
After being rejected from The Actors Academy in Ljubljana, began Marijan Hinteregger in 1984 his actor training at Dramski Studio Maribor, under the private mentor ship of Slovenian legendary actor Vlado Novak (Stanislavsky system), theater director and filmmaker Joze Babic and Theater academy professor Ana Mlakar. So Marijan Hinteregger absorbed the foundations of acting craft. He signed on as an actor in Slovenian National Theater Maribor, Celje People s Theatre and in several small roles in Television, Radio and Cinema productions in Slovenia;
In 1991 Marijan Hinteregger left his homeland and start with new carrier in Germany-Saarbrücken, Austria-Klagenfurt, Vienna... (Bavaria Film München, Cristallerie Theater Wadgassen, Staatstheater Saarbrücken, Staadtheater Klangenfurt, Ikarus Dance Theatre Klagenfurt, Dor Film Vienna, Theater Phoenix Linz, Satel Film Vienna, Embassy Films Dubrovnik with participation's as an extra in some big Hollywood productions, Pakt Media Zagreb and Constantin Film München, Mr-Film Vienna and E&A film Production Vienna in popular Tv series "Die Lottosieger" (2009-2012), director Leo Bauer)... Marijan Hinteregger also gained experience as a radio announcer for several years. His entire career was filled, with rare exceptions, mainly with minor, supporting roles, on the stage in film and television.

In achieving Marijan's career in Germany the key role was played in year 1992 by Swiss Theater General Director Kurt Josef Schildknecht in Saarbrücken National Theater. Between 1995-2002 Marijan Hinteregger collaborated with the local Slovenian community in Austria as theater director, writer and composer. In Carinthia has been for Marijan a significant collaboration with writer and poet Janko Messner. Marijan wrote and directed "Jeungleur Felix" (1996) his first short film, as well as the short film "Die Schülereinschreibung" (2000);
Marijan performed in the Austrian film production "Hinterholz 8" (1998), director Harald Sicheritz and that was the beginning of Marijan's modest but long standing involvement as filmmaker in Vienna-Austria. Matjaz Juren - Zaza was born in Maribor, Slovenia. Shortly after his birth the family moved to Ljubljana, the nation's capital. Janja Glogovac is a Slovenian film director. She is one of the first woman film directors who was honoured to make a feature film in Slovenia called L..like love. She studied at FAMU film Academy in Prague specialised in feature film directing and made a master degree in 2002. Between 1994 and 2000 she worked as a film director for the Croatian television (HTV), Slovenian radio-television (RTV) and for Czech national television (CTV). She shot more than 70 documentaries and reportages across Europe.
She is the most known for directing the movies Tito, F, L...like love and Teslafy Me. Her documentary TITO is about Josip Broz Tito - the life time president of Yugoslavia. Her movie is showing a personal life of the president. The film was screened at Cannes, Independent Argentina film festival, Karlovy Vary film festival, Jichlava film festival and many other international film festivals around the world. The readers of the review Stop in Slovenia chose TITO as the best film of the year. The movie was also nominated for the award Victor in Slovenia and for the award at IDFA film festival in Amsterdam, where it got special recognition.
For her short film F she got an award of Czech literary found for the best script she wrote. F was also awarded by the Paris Film Academy for the best European movie at the Creteil film festival in France. The film F was at the official selection of many international film festivals such as Cannes, Edinburgh film festival, Karlovy Vary film festival, Cottbus film festival, Independent Buenos Aires film festival, Torin film festival, Media Desk Helas Sthens, International Sao Paulo film festival, and many other film festivals. The film F was selected also by Kodak company to present Janja Glogovac as a new film talent at the Cannes film festival.
Her feature movie L..like love with a controversial story and incredible cast was premiered at the Rotterdam film festival. The commission of the Eurocine 27 chose L...like love for the opening film at the film festival in Brussels, that took place simultaneously in 5 other cities in Europe (Paris, Strasbourg, Lyon, Madrid and Rome) and it was latter screened also in all countries of the European Union. The movie L...LIKE LOVE traveled the world through the international film festival such as: Cannes film festival, Warshaw film festival, International film festival Raindance in London,... The commission of the Valencia Film Festival was so inspired by the film L...LIKE LOVE that they opened a new devision at their film festival called Film by Women. L..LIKE LOVE was an opening film of that devision at Valencia Film Festival.
All of her movies were screened in the official selection of the most important A film festivals around the world. They got remarkable critics and recognitions. Her film language is unique, her visual style very reach and colourful showing daring stories.
Documentary film Teslafy Me is her latest work that it is about a genius inventor Nikola Tesla. The film is pointing out his inventions, giving understanding for them and showing his vision of the whole system that he created for our future. The trans-media part of the project Teslafy.Me was awarded as the best transmedia project at the East Doc Platform in Prague, 2017. And in 2019 the distribution of Teslafy Me started in US and Canada and later around the world.
Janja Glogovac is also an established film producer and with her production skills she co - produced or produced almost all of her movies. But her passion is film directing and film writing. She is a remarkable film director, very devoted to her work with incredible skills.
